Kalle is an environmental scientist and diver turned experiential and human centered design educator. She teaches biology and SCUBA at High Tech High using project and place based learning methodologies and researches effective biology and environmental science education methods. Current areas of interest are disaggregate STEM instruction, transformative outdoor education and intersectional environmentalism emphasizing multivocal perspectives and traditional ecology knowledge.
